Ken Dobbs, Manager/Personal Trainer
Ken has been a certified personal trainer since 2006. Wanting a better certification he became a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine(NASM) in 2007. One certification was not enough for him so he has since obtained four other certifications through NASM: Corrective Exercise Specialist (2009), Performance Enhancement Specialist (2011), Golf Fitness Specialist (2012), and Youth Exercise Specialist (2012). He then went on to become certified through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) to better train golfers. He received TPI level 1 certification in January 2014 and level 2 Fitness Professional in January 2016. With the TPI certification Ken has all the up-to date knowledge when it comes to helping golfers improve their game through proper program design. Every one of his golfers has seen improvement in their game on the course through time in the gym. Ken does more than required to maintain his certifications to be the best trainer he can be. Ken won the Charlotte Sun Reader’s Choice Award for Best Personal Trainer in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017!
Ken married his wife Tammy in 2002. Together they have 2 children. The four of them moved to Florida in 2010 from a town northeast of Atlanta, GA. Ken is an avid runner and plans on qualifying for the Boston Marathon in the near future. He stays busy with family, church, and athletics. Together with his wife they coach Upward and are in involved in Special Olympics.
